You Deserve Systems That Hold Up in Real Life

You’ve built something real. The work matters, people rely on it, and the stakes are higher than they used to be.

But behind the scenes, the systems meant to support that work are creating friction. Things technically function, but they don’t feel trustworthy. Important details live in people’s heads. Small breakdowns require constant attention.

That’s not a motivation problem. It’s a design problem.

Jessi Engelke, Asana Consultant and Systems Architect

I’m Jessi

I’m a systems architect and operations partner who helps leaders repair broken systems without starting over.

For more than 15 years, I’ve worked across service-based businesses and nonprofits, managing operations, leading teams, and implementing tools like Asana and Apricot. I specialize in the point where systems stop working in practice, even if they look fine on paper.

My work focuses on:

  • repairing unclear ownership

  • stabilizing fragile workflows

  • reducing mental load

  • and building systems people can actually trust

What It’s Like to Work With Me

I’m direct, thoughtful, and focused on progress that holds up over time.

I don’t hand you a strategy and disappear. I step in, assess what’s actually breaking down, and rebuild systems so they make sense in daily use.

That might look like:

  • consolidating multiple versions of a process into one clear workflow

  • designing task and ownership structures that remove follow-up and guesswork

  • helping teams understand what “done” actually means

  • or setting up a system from scratch when everything has been living in someone’s head

Who This Work Is For

This work is a good fit if:

  • you’re carrying too much operational load

  • your systems technically function but don’t feel trustworthy

  • you want clarity without micromanaging

  • and you’re open to adjusting what exists instead of starting over

Whether you’re working solo, leading a team, or operating inside a nonprofit, the work begins in the same place: making the system make sense again.

How My Work is Different

🧠 Systems That Stick

I don’t just set up tools. I repair workflows so they hold up in daily use, with clear SOPs and automation that reduce mental load instead of creating more work.

📐 Vision and Execution

I do the thinking and the building. Strategy, setup, testing, training, and refinement happen together, so work actually moves instead of stalling in documents.

📊 Ops with a Human Lens

I design systems that account for how people actually work, communicate, and avoid things when they feel unclear or fragile.

Let’s Fix What’s Not Working

You don’t need more effort or more tools.
You need structure you can rely on.

If you’re ready to stop holding everything together yourself, I’m happy to talk and see if I’m the right person to help.

Contact me

When I’m not building Asana and Apricot systems, you’ll probably find me hiking Colorado trails with my fiancé Bryan and our dog Dori, planning our wedding, or reorganizing something just for the satisfaction of it. I’m a sucker for cozy lighting, meaningful conversations, and calm mornings with coffee in hand.

I believe systems should feel like this too — supportive, clear, and quietly powerful.
